Promoting Diversity Within Diversity
The Feyi Fay books are part of a series aimed not only at addressing the need for more diversity in children’s books, but also the need for more diversity in the genres and topics covered in books containing diverse characters. We want to see more books where diverse characters are living their best lives, taking down the bad guys and saving the world. More diverse superheroes, magicians, princesses, and fairies. More books where the diversity or ethnicity of the character does not play a main part in the story. More fun!
With more "diversity within diversity" in books and other media, we believe that children of diverse backgrounds will feel even more empowered. Plus, children from all ethnicities, genders and cultures will appreciate each other more, and realize that we all have more in common than not. These kids will grow up to be better global citizens and future leaders. So, grab a book or two and join us on this epic adventure as we travel around the world with Feyi Fay!
